Public school students in St. Tammany Parish did not report to school on Friday, March 12, to allow a day for teachers to finish record-keeping duties for the end of the third grading period and take part in various in-service professional development workshops.

The third grading period for the 2009-2010 School Year ended Thursday, following a week of exams for students in the higher grades.

Classes will resume on Monday, March 15.
